The Marist Tradition

St Marcellin Champagnat, the founder of the Marist Brothers, is the patron and namesake of Marcellin Technical. St Marcellin was known for his understanding of young people, and although he was not academic, his love of work and industry inspired a generation of working-class people.

Marcellin Technical is committed to the five Marist teaching characteristics of Presence, Simplicity, Family Spirit, Love of Work and in the Way of Mary. Marcellin Technical is an affiliated member of the Association of Marist Schools of Australia (MSA).

We are one of just three schools in Marist Schools Australia to carry the name of our patron and together with Cardijn College, we are proud to be immersed in the spirituality of Marcellin Champagnat.
